WELL AP Exam Prep Workshop

Learn to leverage your design talents to foster healthier lives by becoming a WELL AP. The WELL AP credential denotes your commitment to advancing human health and wellness in buildings and communities. Attend the ASID WELL AP Exam Prep Workshop and you will leave with a personalized study plan to focus your efforts, insight from the design of the WELL and LEED Platinum certified ASID Headquarters, and a network of your peers to facilitate studying.
Drive: Navigating Firm Evolution
Thursday, July 19, 2018 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Ever wonder why some firms grow and prosper, while others never really get off the ground? Drive: Navigating Firm Evolution, a three-hour workshop, will show you how to lay the groundwork for successful firm evolution through each phase – Start up, Growth, Success, Sustain, and Regeneration – and how to build an enduring firm by planning and budgeting for the key business challenges that may occur along the way.

Get an up-close look at design in action in Washington, D.C. Through curated tours, attendees will have the opportunity to tour projects around the city. Sign-up for tours will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and are only available to registered Experience attendees. All tour registrations will open in March 2018.

ASID Headquarters
The ASID Headquarters in Downtown Washington, D.C., the first space in the world to achieve Platinum Level Certification for the WELL Building Standard™ (WELL™) under WELL v1 and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), under the LEED ID+C rating system, is a Living Laboratory. This interactive tour will follow the process of the Perkins+Will design team and how they created an office that supports health, wellness, and the well-being of employees.

As an interior designer, you play a critical role in the health and wellness of your clients. At The Leadership Experience, ASID wants to ensure that you have the opportunity to focus on your health and wellness. Be sure to take advantage of the activities throughout the conference, from sunrise yoga and fun runs to healthy snacks. Keep up with your workout routine in the Washington Marriott Marquis’s bi-level fitness center. All health and wellness features are created to help you relax and engage to get the most of out the conference.

The Learning Lounge is the central hub for The Leadership Experience attendees to grow their network of design professionals and engage with sponsors. With special installation and pop-up discussions, the Learning Lounge will showcase the latest products and services to give you window into the future of design.
